COOKIE BONUS NEWS: Troop and Service Unit bonuses will go out on June 1st to those that are eligible. If you have any questions regarding your eligibility please contact products@gsctx.org Any troops or parents that owe a debt for cookie sales need to have their debt cleared by May 30th. As a reminder, any troop that owes a debt to GSCTX will not be able to participate in paid events; the same goes for girls of parents who owe a debt. If you have any questions please contact products@gsctx.org
CONGRATS from Council: We’d like to give a shout out to the Service Units that have reached their FOGS (Friends of GS) goal and those within spitting distance! So our hats off to Bellville, Bluebonnet Valley, Coleman County, Concho Pearls, Dripping Springs, Forest Trails, Ladybird, LAKE HILLS, Leon County, Mertzon, Mockingbird, Songbird, Southern Oaks, Springwoods, West Round Rock, Walnut Creek and Westwood. FOGS TIP: Early bird registration is an easy way to make a donation to FOGS During your online registration. You will have an option to donate to FOGS. If each parent would add just a $5.00 donation onto their registration we would reach our council goal!
VEC – Volunteer Enrichment Conference | July 11th | Register now for VEC http://www.gsctx.org/en/for-volunteers/volunteer-events-and-conferences.html/#VEC2015 Olive Garden for lunch! Please share-there are many sessions open for leader trainings also, not just service team trainings. The committee has worked hard to make the pathways available that has been requested in the past (outdoor training, LE training, Jumpstart, etc.) register by June 27th. SERVICE PINS | GSCTX Council awards pins 10 years and above in 5 year increments | please ask your volunteers and send their: name(s)/number of years of service/service unit to glendah@gsctx.org so they can be recognized at VEC on 7/11

GS Leaders can take advantage of Boy Scout Training. You can find online Hazardous Weather, Safe Swim Defense, and other helpful training at the following link: https://myscouting.scouting.org You do need to create an account to take the training but you do not have to be a registered BSA volunteer. Troop 391 Fundraisers |Several girls from Troop 391 in Dripping Springs will be traveling to Japan in 2017 and they are earning money through their entrepreneur efforts. They are teaching (badge workshops), sewing, and selling (t-shirts)! contact amyckastner@gmail.com

OUTDOOR PROGRESSION PATCH DESIGN | Designs due July 19th |Outdoor Adventures invites all Girl Scouts to submit an Outdoor Progression Patch design to be considered for our new patch program! There will be 7 levels! They can link together to create a picture or be placed around a center patch. Design it however you want! The winner will have their patch made into the new outdoor progression patch for girls to put on the back of their vests!
Level 1: Main Patch
Level 2: Beginner
Level 3: Adventurer
Level 4: Intermediate Camper
Level 5: Outdoor Explorer
Level 6: Expert Camper
Level 7: Master of the Outdoors

GSCTX Equipment Reservations | Check out the Equipment Reservations form for all the items available to check out – email lisa-t2124@live.com for form. Equipment can be rented up to six months in advance. All proceeds from rentals go towards improving outdoor programs equipment and accessibility across all areas of the GSCTX Council. Any extra donations of equipment are accepted and appreciated!
