International Day/World Thinking Day
Hello Leaders!
We will try something new for Thinking/\International Day this year!
We will play a giant game instead. The game has been designed for the 2019 World Thinking Day by the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, WAGGGS.
Each troop needs to design and make a game piece for the floor game board. The game piece is also called a Time Machine in the game. For size, think half gallon milk jug or a couple of cookie boxes taped together. You can decorate the game piece any way you like, go wild! Make matching shirts, name your team…
The recommended size of each team is five or six girls, but you can be flexible. The purpose of the size recommendation is so that each girl gets most out of the game. Younger girls will need an adult to guide them through the game, but older ones can work it through by themselves.
The teams/troops will not compete against each other. The aim of the game is to complete all tasks in order to earn the World Thinking Day Patch.
2019 World Thinking Day Event aka International Day

More info at the February Leader Meeting.
If you\d like to take a peek of the game ahead of time, the instructions are found at https://www.wagggs.org/en/what-we-do/world-thinking-day.
We will try this out and then see if the old International Day was more fun or we should go with the WAGGGS one from now on.
If there are take action projects girls/troops would like to share with the whole Service Unit this maybe a good opportunity.
