TTA – Troop Travel Application- How to
Here’s a little reminder about how to do a TTA aka Troop Travel Application:
At least 3 weeks before the trip:
You must turn in a TTA if your troop is going on (1) an overnight trip or the (2) destination is more than 100 miles from your meeting place or (3) you are doing high risk activities, such as water sport, horses or rock climbing (see Safety Activity Checkpoints for more).
There are two forms to fill out, Troop Travel Application and Troop Travel Roster.
Attach pictures or scans of your certifications, the forms remind you what to attach. These typically include CPR/First Aid and training certificates or cards such as Lets Go 123.
You must always have at least two adults going, more if needed -see Safety Activity Checkpoints.
All girls/adults going must be registered girl scouts and adults must have a current CBC.
You can find CBC expiration dates on your troop registration roster in the MY GS, gsctx.org.
Email both forms with attachments to Tuulikki – lakehillssud@gmail.com at least 3 weeks before the trip.
You will get an email back from the council confirming that your TTA has been approved.
I have attached the forms here in one file.
The forms are also available here: gsctx.org, click forms.
Safety Activity Checkpoints are at gsctx.org, click volunteers/volunteer resources.
Thank You!
