CSA Outdoor Journey-February 2018

What: This is a primitive camp out at Camp Texlake from Friday evening-Sunday afternoon for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors. We will have access to toilets, but no showers. Girls must supply all their own personal gear including tents. I have a few that I can lend.

We will plan all meals together at a planning meeting. We will also decide on our TAP. I will ask for volunteers to help with shopping.

The Outdoor Journey for each level requires three badges and a Take Action Project.

Cadettes: Trailblazing, Night Owl, and Primitive Camper

Seniors: First Aid*, Adventurer, and Adventure Camper**

*requires attending a First Aid/CPR class outside of the weekend, **requires adding high ropes to the camp out

Ambassador: Survival Camper, Outdoor Art Master, and Water

When: February 23-25, 2018

Time: 6pm Friday-5pm Sunday 

Where:Camp Texlake

How Much: $60 with High Ropes*, $45 without High Ropes (*High Ropes is required for Senior to complete the Journey)

Attending and participating in the Outdoor Journey Weekend and the planning meeting that will be held on February 3rd will complete the entire Journey and fulfill the prerequisite for the Silver and will fulfill one prerequisite for the Gold Award. 

Permission Slip, Health History Form and Fee must be turned into Amy Wallquist before February 2, 2018. Seniors are required to completes a First Aid/CPR class. I am working on setting this up for Saturday February 2. To complete the Journey, everyone must attend a planning meeting. This is tentatively scheduled for Saturday February 2, but I may also schedule a second meeting for a weekday evening.
