Sing for their Supper

Tis the season, folks! Crisp up your voices, grab your best holiday garb and get your girls together (family & friends welcome!) to Christmas Carol FOR A CAUSE!

Junior Troop 2487 is coordinating the annual “Sing for their Supper” event!

Here are the deets:

Gather your girls, friends and families and head out the door – bring sheets of music (easily printable online), Santa hats, reindeer antlers, etc. and sing your hearts away! Leave behind a brown bag with instructions to donate food items (which you will come back to collect a day or two later) – and drop them off at the Lake Travis Crisis Ministries.

LTCM is a wonderful, local organization that collects donated items to feed families right here in Lake Travis. They are incredibly appreciative of our efforts! The girls will get to stock the shelves with the items they’re bringing in, get a brief overview of how LTCM operates and earn a patch for doing so!

My girls LOVE this event! I usually have our Holiday Party the same evening – everybody has a wonderful time.

PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY NEXT SUNDAY, 11/3 IF YOU’D LIKE TO PARTICIPATE. I need to get the patches ordered – it will take 3-4 weeks to get back (I’d like to be able to get them to you so you can hand them out in December).

Please see two files for template and more detailed instructions.

It’s super easy – this can all be done when it is most convenient for your troop.

Please let me know how many patches to order for your troop by next Friday, 11/2.  Best way is to email me:  wendylancaster4@gmail.com.

About Wendy Lancaster

I am a mom to two wonderful girls - and am really enjoying my time as a leader to our troop (currently we're 5th grade juniors). I love Girl Scouts and all that it stands for. I was a Brownie for two years and a Girl Scout (Junior) for two years... so glad I'm able to provide this opportunity for my daughter and our friends!
