A short time from now, at a camp not so far away……
The Lake Hills Service Unit is
preparing for a challenging weekend at
Camp Champions during their Spring Overnight.
They are on a quest to discover their hidden abilities. Deep
within them, lying dormant in many, are the traits of leadership,
friendship, and service that they need to overcome all challenges. Can
the girls awaken their Inner Scout while experiencing the adventures at Camp?
This year’s theme for our Service Unit Spring Overnight is The Girl Awakens, and we’re going with a Star Wars theme (I bet you guessed that already). We handed out registration packets at the Service Unit Leader Meeting in February, but if you weren’t able to be there, the forms are attached to this post.
The registration cost is the same as it was last year. $61 per person, PLUS the cost of lodging if you are staying overnight. The fee includes 4 meals (Saturday breakfast through Sunday breakfast) and all the activities at camp. Lodging costs are $370 per cabin for a private cabin which sleeps 14, OR $27 per person for community cabins. See the attached FAQs for more details about how community cabins work, and if they are right for your troop.
Every year we need troops to help make the Spring Overnight the amazing event that it is. Please sign up to help with one or more jobs. Click here to see the list of what is still available. You can contact me to sign up for a job, or turn in the Troop Leadership Opportunity form with your registration.
Please fill out and return the registration form, visitor agreements for all attendees (signed by parents and not the girls), and the Troop Leadership Opportunity form by the March leader meeting, on March 3.
We are also doing the patch design contest again this year. Patch designs should be submitted by Monday, February 29th to Rosalie Galliver. See the attached form for details.
