Playing the Past @ Bell County Museum in Belton
GO! this was an amazing $6 event…my daughter had a superb time, this is one of the best programs we’ve ever attended – she learned so much about 1850’s Texas living/life style and had fun making a corn-husk doll, a buzz saw toy, and shelling corn for a corncob dart; all of which she got to take home along with a beautiful 19th century fashion paper doll book that cost more than the event itself. Playing old fashioned games at the nearby park and earning the Playing the Past badge a lovely bonus. The museum itself if impressive, and interesting for kids as well as adults, they currently have a Bison exhibit. Easy to find, and just an hour and half drive from Bee Cave area. We’re definitely going to the next event they host!
