Four Lake Hills Service Unit Ambassador Girl Scouts received Council honors at the 2013 Council Recognition Ceremony held on Saturday, April 27, in Round Rock.
Each year, the Girl Scouts of Central Texas awards Founders Scholarships to ten graduating Ambassador Girl Scouts who exhibit exemplary conduct in Girl Scouting. This year, four of the ten scholarship recipients were from the Lake Hills Service Unit. Alexandria Bello (Troop 1197), Megan McCauley (Troop 86), Grace Reckart (Troop 1197), and Marissa Williams (Troop 1197) each received a Founders Schloarship of $1,000.
Marissa Williams also received the President’s Volunteer Service Award at the April 27th ceremony. The award was established by the President’s Council on Service and Participation as a way to thank and honor Americans who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to engage in volunteer service.
The Lake Hills Service Unit is very proud of its award winners. Congratulations, ladies, on a job well done!
